Hello, I’m Courtney Stanley. I’m a speaker, writer and business consultant with a background in meeting design, event technology and leadership development. I am the youngest member to have ever been elected to MPI's International Board of Directors and was the recipient of the Association for Women in Events 2018 Disruptor Award, the MPI Chairman’s Award and MPI RISE Award. I was also honored to be named in Collaborate and Connect Magazine’s 40 under 40, and recognized as one of the meetings industry’s most impactful change-makers.

As a creator of the #MeetingsToo movement, I recently spoke with the British Broadcasting Corporation on behalf of the events industry regarding sexual harassment and the critical need to make change.

Q. What do you love about event tech?

A. There is nothing more important or fulfilling than building real, meaningful relationships with the people around you. Event tech allows the world to build bridges through innovation and creativity.

Q. How can women make an impact in the event tech space?

A. Women can make a huge impact in event tech by mentoring other women, by using their voices unapologetically to make positive change, and by redefining what real success looks like.

Q. Who do you most admire in event tech?

A. Two women I admire in event tech are Tahira Endean and Dahlia El Gazzar - both for the same reason: they empower other women! That's how we're going to make real change with integrity.

Q. What's your one piece of advice to other women in event tech?

A. Discover your passion, own it, and don't apologize for your success. Bring other women with you on your way to the top.
